Love admits and apologizes when wrong.
Love acknowledges mistakes and offers sincere apologies - seeking forgiveness.
One of the hallmarks of genuine love from a man is his willingness to express remorse and apologize when he is wrong or has offended you.
When he apologizes, it demonstrates his sensitivity to your feelings and his concern for what brings you joy or discomfort. It reflects his humility, selflessness, and appreciation for you, prioritizing your happiness over his own ego.
Conversely, a man who consistently expects you to apologize, even when he is clearly at fault, may not truly love you.
Even more concerning is a man who never admits to being wrong, believes he is always right, and considers apologizing an act beneath him. Such a man is best avoided.
Love means acknowledging mistakes and offering heartfelt apologies.
If you genuinely love God, you will seek His forgiveness when you offend Him. Indifference toward your offenses indicates a lack of love for Him (If you don't care when you offend God, it's because you are not in love with Him).
Consequently, in romantic love, sincere regret accompanies any offense toward the one you cherish (you're always sorry when you offend the one you love). If a man feels no remorse and says sorry when he offends you, it is likely that love is absent.
Shalom.
